Sun
Yongyin, born in 1954 in Tianjin, is a member of the China Artists
Association and the China Film Association. He is a senior researcher at
the China Modern Art Research Center of the Central Academy of Fine
Arts and an art director at the August 1st Film Studio (recipient of the
Best Art Award at the 17th China Golden Rooster Film Awards). His oil
paintings, including "On the March," were selected for the 6th National
Art Exhibition; "Breaking Through the Soil" for the 8th National Art
Exhibition; "Land of Life and Death" for the 9th Military Art
Exhibition; "Deposition" (Qin Yong Series No.2) for the 10th Military
Art Exhibition; and "Deposition" (Qin Yong Series No.3) won the Special
Prize at the 2001 Beijing International Art Expo. "Red Wall" was
selected for the "Yuantai Cup" Art Exhibition of the entire military and
won the second prize; "Oriental" was selected for the 4th Art
Exhibition of the Ministry of Culture and the Ministry of Radio, Film
and Television; "Imprint" was selected for the 50th Anniversary Art
Exhibition of the entire military; "Moonlight" and "Sunset" were
collected by collectors at the Pacific International Auction; "Winter
Rhythm" was privately collected by a Shenzhen movable property
auctioneer; and "Yellow River Sacrifice" was widely reported by media
during the Two Sessions, with many works being collected by collectors
in the United States, France, Switzerland, Japan, Singapore, Malaysia,
Taiwan, Hong Kong, and mainland China. Additionally, his book "China
Historical Figure Sculptures" was published by the National Foreign
Languages Press "Today’s China" Publishing House and distributed in both
Chinese and English editions domestically and internationally.
His
works have been published in China’s "Art", "Military Painter", "PLA
Literature and Art", "People’s Daily", "Contemporary Painting Exchange",
"PLA Daily", "Legendary World Special Issue" and other newspapers and
periodicals.
