方关，男，1947年8月生，浙江建德人，中学教师。自八岁学书，历经七十余载，乐此不疲，逐步形成“雄劲、俊逸”的书法作品风格。早在上世纪八十年代初，就自编写了省编教材《初中语文生字词字帖》。2004年春，开始参加全国书法大赛，获奖数十次。作品先后入选《中国书画大家传世作品集》、《中国荣誉向世界推荐的国礼艺术家》、《魅力中国书画五大名家》、《中国艺术大家》、《中国顶尖书画家方关特刊》、《中华美德大典》、《中国书画收藏最具投资价值二十位艺术家》、《百年巨擘》(方关、徐悲鸿、齐白石、刘大为)、《中国艺圣启功方关双人集》、《水墨方阵一刘大为、方关书画作品集》、《翰墨书香一苏士澍、方关书法作品集》、《书坛同辉一权希军、沈鹏、方关书法作品集》、《艺海同舟一李铎、方关两人集》、《人民书画三大家》(苏士澍、范曾、方关)等十余部典籍，作品赴德、韩等国参展。2016年获中国国际艺术节“金猴奖”终身成就奖，中国文联授予“国家优秀艺术家”称号。2019年5月8日央视书画频道作了“飘逸洒脱，柔中有刚”一中国当代书法名家方关专题报道。2020年荣获“国际文艺巅峰成就奖”，授予“世界当代十大顶级文艺大师”荣誉称号同年八月在北京画馆成立“方关艺术馆”。九月经国际艺术投资网评定为“全球艺术投资巅峰奖”并授予“全球最具投资价值与收藏潜力艺术家”荣誉称号。九月作品通过国礼特供艺术家评审委员会评审，批准为国务国宾礼特供艺术家。2021年授予“当代国藏艺术大家”称号，并入编《国藏大家艺术档案》大型画册，又入编《艺术百年新中国十大巅峰艺术家》及《中国书法行书大典行书宗师八大家》。2022年6月14日《方关中国当代名家书法集》(大红袍)，由人民美术出版社专家评审组审核通过，现正在出版中。現为中国书法家协会会员、中国民族文艺家联合会名誉主席、中国国家书画院副院长、中国书画名家协会理事、东方书画研究院客座教授、中国国际艺术馆名誉馆长。
Fang Guan, male, born in August 1947 in Jiande, Zhejiang, is a middle
school teacher. He began learning calligraphy at the age of eight and
has been practicing for over seventy years with great enthusiasm,
gradually developing a calligraphic style characterized by "vigorous and
elegant" works. As early as the early 1980s, he independently compiled
the provincial-level textbook "Junior High School Chinese Character and
Word Practice Book". In the spring of 2004, he started participating in
national calligraphy competitions, winning dozens of awards. His works
have been included in over a dozen authoritative publications, such as
"Collection of Masterpieces by Chinese Calligraphy and Painting
Masters", "China’s Honorary National Gift Artists Recommended to the
World", "Five Great Masters of Chinese Calligraphy and Painting",
"China’s Art Masters", "Special Issue on China’s Top Calligraphers and
Painters Fang Guan", "Grand Canon of Chinese Virtues", "Top 20 Most
Investment-worthy Chinese Calligraphy and Painting Artists", "Centennial
Masters" (Fang Guan, Xu Beihong, Qi Baishi, Liu Dawei), "Fang Guan and
Qi Gong: A Duo Collection of Chinese Art Masters", "Ink and Brush
Formation: Liu Dawei and Fang Guan’s Calligraphy Collection", "The
Fragrance of Ink and Brush: Su Shishu and Fang Guan’s Calligraphy
Collection", "Shining Together in the Calligraphy World: Quan Xijun,
Shen Peng, and Fang Guan’s Calligraphy Collection", "Sailing Together in
the Sea of Art: Li Duo and Fang Guan’s Duo Collection", and "Three
Great Masters of People’s Calligraphy and Painting" (Su Shishu, Fan
Zeng, Fang Guan). His works have been exhibited in Germany, South Korea,
and other countries. In 2016, he received the Lifetime Achievement
Award "Golden Monkey Award" at the China International Art Festival and
was honored with the title of "National Outstanding Artist" by the China
Federation of Literary and Art Circles. On May 8, 2019, CCTV’s
Calligraphy and Painting Channel featured a special report titled
"Graceful and Unconstrained, Soft yet Strong" on Fang Guan, a
contemporary master of Chinese calligraphy. In 2020, he was awarded the
"International Artistic Summit Achievement Award" and conferred the
honorary title of "One of the World’s Top Ten Contemporary Art Masters".
In August of the same year, he established the "Fangguan Art Gallery"
at the Beijing Art Gallery. In September, he was rated as the "Global
Art Investment Summit Award" by the International Art Investment Network
and awarded the honorary title of "The Artist with the Greatest
Investment Value and Collection Potential in the World". In September,
his works passed the review by the State Gift Special Supply Artist
Review Committee and were approved as a State Guest Gift Special Supply
Artist. In 2021, he was awarded the title of "Contemporary National
Collection Art Master" and included in the large-scale art album
"National Collection Masters Art Archive", as well as in "China’s Top
Ten Art Masters of the Century" and "China’s Eight Masters of Running
Script Calligraphy". On June 14,2022, the "Fangguan China Contemporary
Master Calligraphy Collection" (Da Hong Pao) was reviewed and approved
by the expert review group of the People’s Fine Arts Publishing House
and is currently being published. He is now a member of the China
Calligraphers Association, honorary chairman of the China National
Federation of Literary and Art Circles, vice president of the China
National Academy of Painting and Calligraphy, council member of the
China Calligraphy and Painting Masters Association, guest professor at
the Oriental Painting and Calligraphy Research Institute, and honorary
director of the China International Art Museum.
